Product Description

pH measurement is usually done with the use of a combination electrode. The combination electrode is an electrode system formed by a glass sensing half-cell and an internal reference half-cell. As the reference junction acts as the medium of conductor between the reference electrolyte and the sample to be measured, it must allow free movement of electrons through the junction and into the sample

The selection of a suitable electrode depends on the types of application

Eutech’s pH /ORP combination electrodes offer the convenience of having the reference and measuring electrodes combined in a single housing. They are offered in a variety of configurations to suit most laboratory and field application needs. Choose from two models: single-or double-junction, sealed (gel-filled) or refillable

Single Junction

Ideal for general-purpose applications. Ag+ ions are in contact with junction and this can cause chemical interaction with sulphur. Not suitable for biological samples or tris buffers

Double Junction

Prevents interference between the inner fill solution and sample. Electrolyte is free of Ag+ ions. Suitable for use with biological samples. Can be used in place of calomel reference electrodes

Sealed(gel-filled)

No refill hole. The reference electrolyte is usually a gel. Replacement of the electrode is necessary when it gets contaminated. Virtually no maintenance is required

Refillable

Refill hole allows reference electrolyte replenishment. Can be used many times over. Needs refilling when fill solution is low

Choose single junction ORP electrodes for field, clean water, and other general-purpose applications or double junction electrodes for samples containing heavy metals and organics. Platinum sensors are suitable for most general uses

Specially designed to minimize the sample contamination during PCR applications by combining ISO class 4
(US class 10) clean air environment

Performance
      • ISO class 4 (US class 10) HEPA filter for optimal protection against cross-contamination (average life span of HEPA filter: 3 years – it depends on the test room conditions)
      • High-quality polyester fiber pre-filter (with minimal pressure loss and 85% arrestant on the A.F.I. test) for trapping larger particles and increasing the life of the main HEPA filter
      • Effective sterilization using a long-life 254 nm UV lamp (average life span of UV lamp: 8,000 hours)
      • Built in anti-glare fluorescent lamp minimizes shadows and relieves eye strain
Convenience
      • User-friendly microprocessor-based control panel
      • Large capacity blower and easy blower speed adjustment by the control panel
      • Easy-settable digital timer for UV light exposure to deactivate
      • DNA and RNA contaminants (wait off, max. 30min.)
      • Comfortable front access to cartridge type of filters for easy replacement
Safety
      • Interlocking safety door system shuts off UV light automatically when opening the door
      • UV-blocking door and side panels made of transparent acrylic resin provides clear inside view
      • UV over-exposure alarm and over-current protection
